There is only one airport in the Andamans—Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair. It takes nearly 2 hours to reach there from Kolkata. The round trip costs approximately Rs.4,000.

You can also reach Port Blair by sailing from the port of Kolkata. Operated by the Indian government, the voyage via the ship takes nearly three to four days (50-60 hours). Haddo Wharf is the main seaport in the town. Three to four sailings take place from Kolkata every month. You should know in advance that the passenger ship is not cruise liners and thus, does not have entertainment and food options. Moreover, booking can only be done from the shipping corporation office in Kolkata. The booking process is quite time-consuming. Online booking is also not available.
