Ultimate Guide on Planning a Destination Wedding in Andaman Island

Ultimate Guide on Planning a Destination Wedding in Andaman Island
Date : 28 Jun 2021
Categories: Travel Guide

Are you planning on getting married soon? Are you and your future partner unable to narrow down on one option? Yeah, we understand the dilemma. That’s pretty normal because you both have the same intention- to make your D-Day the best day of your life. Let us ask you a question. Would you like the idea of exchanging your vows on a pristine beach surrounded by lush greenery and white sands? We know you have already started to think about this amazing idea. Isn’t it? Congratulations, you are among those few extra romantic couples who have a magical dream destination wedding in Andaman.
Many people are apprehensive regarding logistics, costing, and overall arrangement. To provide you all the relevant details and things to keep in mind, we present here a full-fledged guide on how to plan a beach wedding in Andaman Island.

Our Package

Selecting the right venue

If you have selected Andaman Island for celebrating the beginning of your new life, then it is obvious to picture yourself standing on a lovely beach with an azure ocean in the backdrop while you gently put your head on your lover’s shoulder. This island is popular for having these kinds of beaches that provide a dreamy background. But you have to keep in mind your budget before finalizing the beach.

Havelock Island, renamed as Swaraj Dweep in 2018, is a great choice for a beach destination wedding in Andamans. A sweet intimate wedding celebration with close friends and family members and a cocktail party afterward amid the miraculous beauty is what you will be offered here. We would definitely recommend Havelock Island Beach Resort to you if you are looking for hassle-free arrangements. Along with taking care of crucial services like that of decorators, caterers, florists, etc., this popular resort will also ensure that all your guests are transferred smoothly. It’s your wedding and we want you to only focus on making the most of this beautiful time. Rest everything else on this reliable beach property.

Another option is to plan your beach wedding in Port Blair. It’s the capital city and thus, is more accessible than other locations. Not competing with the level of charming Havelock Island, this destination can also be considered.
Picking the right date

You should not choose any date around the monsoons in Andaman that arrives here in early May and stays for a few months. Andaman has also experienced hurricanes and stormy weather in a few areas. We understand that the weather cannot be predicted six months in advance, but kindly make sure that you have a backup plan at the chosen venue in case of any climatic calamity. For instance, along with the wedding decorations at the beach, you can also get a banquet hall lightly decorated on standby. It won’t take much of your efforts but will prove to be exceptionally beneficial in those rare times.
Send a themed invite

We would definitely suggest you to try some innovative ideas with your wedding invitation. A unique request sent by you to your guests to attend your wedding is something that they will never forget. You can put your card inside a glass bottle filled with some sand and seashells. Some couples also create a beach-themed wedsite featuring the venue and travel details along with a wish list of gifts. All this will add to a great build-up for a destination wedding. How does that sound? Chic and classy, right?

Making arrangements for stay, food, venue, etc.

Many couples limit the guest list because they want all their guests should stay in the same hotel so that attending everyone becomes easier. That’s why picking such a property becomes mandatory that can accommodate all of them so that there is uniform hospitality and hassle-free management. Keeping all these crucial requirements in mind, we highly recommend Havelock Island Beach Resort because it can even offer you excellent services if your list comprises three-digit guests. Booking the resort for particular dates is not an easy job, but advance planning can help you in getting your job done.
You will get a diverse variety of food here including seafood, which is of course the highlight and top suggestion. Décor for the destination using fresh flowers, etc. will also be taken care of by the resort. Hair and makeup experts, mehndi artists, photographers, and priests will also be arranged easily. This will save your efforts for sure.

Prepare an unrestricted guest list

Indian weddings are known for attracting relatives from far and wide- if not in thousands, then in hundreds for sure. It is a joyous occasion of nearly a week of festivities and excessive photo opportunities. A beach wedding would anyway have a bigger draw as most of your guests will be clubbing their own holiday after attending the wedding ceremony.

Keeping in mind an Andaman wedding, usually people would limit their guest list to 50-70 guests owing to the stay arrangements and logistics. Don’t you think that it’s a big challenge for you to decide whom to include and whom to leave? Your school BFFs and workplace seniors would also be required to be added to the list along with close relatives. The whole task would require a lot of maneuvering. Fortunately, you don’t have to worry even a single bit if you pick Havelock Island Beach resort as your wedding destination. The super-spacious beach property is capable of accommodating your guests even if they add up to three digits.

How to reach Havelock Island Beach Resort?

There are ferries plying from Port Blair that take nearly two and a half hours to reach Havelock Island. From there, the resort’s cars will pick up all your guests and drop them safely at the destination. All you need to do is make a request in advance.
